Short Bio
Stefan Joerer received his BSc, MSc and PhD in Computer Science from the University of Innsbruck, Austria in 2009, 2011, and 2016, respectively.
In 2011, he joined the Computer and Communication Systems group at the University of Innsbruck.
In 2014, he has won a prestigious Australia Award Endeavour Research Fellowship to visit the University of Sydney.
He was a visiting scholar with the Wireless Networking Group (WiNG) of Professor Abbas Jamalipour at the School of Electrical and Information Engineering, University of Sydney.
His research interest during his PhD studies was focused on questions regarding Inter-Vehicle Communication (IVC) for road traffic safety applications.
From 2015 til 2018 he was working on ultra-low power wireless communication for hearing aids at MED-EL. Starting from 2018 he is working on long-range optical devices at Swarovski Optik.
